10 Days Bird Watching Tour

Arrival at Colombo International Airport and warmly welcomed by our Tamashi Lanka representative. Our chauffeur guide will take you to the hotel at Negombo which is 20 min away. Relax at the hotel or on the beach.

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and proceed to Sinharaja Rain Forest near Kudawa entrance. Check into your hotel and take an evening bird watching walk in a bordering village.

Full day bird watching in Sinharaja Rain Forest searching for endemic and resident birds such as Munias, Flower Peckers, Sunbirds, Mynas, Babblers, Monarchs, Wabblers, Prinias, Bulbuls, Wagtails, Drongos, Orioles, Leafbirds, Woodpeckers, Barbets, Pigeons, Nuthatches, Trogans, Hornbills, Blue Magpie, Frogmouths, and Coucals. Optional natural water bath in the jungle.

Breakfast at the hotel and morning bird watching in the bordering village. Drive to Nuwara Eliya (Little England). En-route, stop at waterfalls and viewpoints for breathtaking scenery.

Early morning bird watching in Horton Plains National Park. Picnic breakfast provided. Afternoon scenic walk through a tea estate, tea picking with locals, and visit to a tea factory to learn about Ceylon Tea.

Morning bird watching walk in Victoria Park, Nuwara Eliya. Visit an elegant waterfall and drive to Habarana.

Morning jungle walk in Habarana to see migratory and resident birds, eagles, and water birds. Late afternoon bird watching in Sigiriya Sanctuary to spot endemic and migratory birds.

Morning visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Transfer to Anawilundawa Wetlands for afternoon bird watching, including cormorants, ducks, egrets, herons, storks, eagles, terns, swallows, swifts, kingfishers and other resident birds.

Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Negombo. Take a boat ride to Negombo lagoon and Monkey Island. Relax on the beach after the boat safari.

Say goodbye to Sri Lanka and transfer to the airport for your departure.
