Day 01Arrival – Negombo
Meet & greet at the airport and transfer to the beachside town of Negombo. Relax after flight. Evening lagoon walk. Overnight: Negombo. Highlights: Peaceful first day, fresh seafood dinner, soft introduction to Sri Lanka.
Day 02Negombo – Sigiriya / Cultural Triangle
Visit the ancient golden royal cave temples of Dambulla. Check-in to hotel surrounded by nature. Evening safari in Minneriya / Kaudulla or Eco Park. Overnight: Sigiriya / Habarana. Highlights: Slow cultural immersion, nature and wildlife.
Day 03Sigiriya Rock & Rural Experience
Early morning climb the magnificent Sigiriya for panoramic views. Visit batik & wood carving craft village. Authentic village experience with canoe ride, bullock cart ride and local cooking demo. Day 04Sigiriya – Kandy / Esala Perahera Night
En-route visit a spice garden. Stop at a viewpoint overlooking Kandy. Evening: Attend the spectacular Kandy Esala Perahera (seating arranged) – dancers, drummers, fire performers, magnificently decorated elephants. Overnight: Kandy. Day 05Kandy – Nuwara Eliya Tea Highlands
Visit the sacred Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth Relic). Scenic train journey from Kandy – Nanu Oya (subject to availability). Explore tea hills of Little England. Guided tea factory & plantation tour with tasting. Overnight: Nuwara Eliya. Highlights: Cool climate, tea culture similar to Japan, stunning landscapes.
Day 06Nuwara Eliya – Negombo Beach
Relax on the beach after a great cultural experience. Try Sri Lankan local Lion beer on the beach. Taste a fresh seafood dinner under the stars. Overnight: Negombo. Highlights: Beautiful sandy beach, relaxation, seafood.
Day 07Negombo – Airport
Admire the Negombo city tour. Check-out from the hotel. Transfer to the international airport to say goodbye to the island like no other.
